AC Transit bus lines 12,
14, 15, 40, 43, and “E” stop within
three blocks of the hospital. For information

The MacArthur BART station is nearby. Children's Hospital provides
a shuttle van to and from the MacArthur BART station. Click

Driving Directions:
From North — Interstate
80: Stay left on I-80
in Emeryville, but  not
farthest left lane—it is carpool only lane to
SF. Take MacArthur Freeway I-580 Hayward exit, then
merge to right lane and take Berkeley/Walnut Creek
Hwy. 24 exit. Take 51st /Martin Luther King exit (exit
is to the right just as connector ramp straightens
out), bear left (under freeway) onto Martin Luther
King, Jr. Way and right on 52nd Street. The hospital
will be on your immediate right, parking on your left.
From Central
Contra Costa County — Hwy
24: Take Telegraph Avenue exit. Turn left on Telegraph
and right on 52nd Street to hospital. The hospital
will be on your left, parking on your right.
From South — Nimitz
Freeway (880): Follow
signs for I-980 to Berkeley/Walnut Creek Hwy. 24. Exit
at 51st/Martin Luther King, bear left (under freeway)
onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and right on 52nd
Street. The hospital will be on your immediate right,
parking on your left.
From South
via Interstate 580: Take
Berkeley/Walnut Creek Hwy. 24 exit, stay in connector
ramp lane (don’t merge left onto Hwy. 24) and
take 51st/Martin Luther King exit. Bear left (under
freeway) onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and right
on 52nd Street. The hospital will be on your immediate
right, parking on your left.
From San Francisco — Bay
Bridge: Stay in right
three lanes coming off the bridge. Take MacArthur Freeway
I-580 toward Hayward, exit Berkeley/Walnut Creek Hwy.
24. Take 51st/Martin Luther King exit (exit is to the
right just as connector ramp straightens out), bear
left (under freeway) onto Martin Luther King, Jr. Way
and right on 52nd Street. The hospital will be on your

Parking:
Round-the-clock parking is available in
the garage across the street from the hospital on 52nd
Street. The parking fee is 70 cents for each hour or fraction
thereof, with a full day (without an overnight stay) maximum
of $4.00. A full day plus overnight stay is $6.00.
If you have paid for a full day and would like in-and-out privileges
on that day, ask for a receipt as you exit the first time. You may show
that receipt in lieu of payment when you next exit.
Metered parking is available near the hospital on 52nd Street.
If parking fees present a hardship for your family, special reduced rates
may be available. Please ask the cardiology social worker.
